On 8 March 2014, we organised a drama workshop for all TESL students at IPGKTHO. We invited Puan Munirah and Puan Rusmanizah from IPG Teknik, Seremban to conduct the workshop. It was 100% hands-on and the students really enjoyed it very much.
First, we did exercise and pata-pata dance as a warm up. Then, we learnt some drama techniques such as finding a focal point, vocalisation, movements, facial expressions and stage directions. In the afternoon, we had drama performance by 10 groups. Before we ended the drama workshop, our head of department, Puan Jayanthi gave the souvenirs to the two speakers.
Teaching is an art. Often the best artist does not make the best teacher. It depends on the individual to make the best English teacher of himself/herself.
